Think ‘Carry On’ meets ‘Cabaret’. Set in the 18th Century the story follows brothel madam Ivy Paige, her band of harlots and her complicated romantic relationship with English aristocrat The Marquis of Gray. Ivy Page is on the rise to become London’s most notorious and successful Bawd.
However, years before Ivy borrowed money from Gray, her would be suitor, to her start her bordello. To get her house in order, she has hatched a plan to settle the debt. The rewards will be independence and power, but the cost maybe her heart.
The stage show features live music lead by Lord Pete Saunders (formally of Dexys Midnight Runners) who perform mix of new songs and old favorites. This is an evening that will lift them hem and lower the tone!
Upon arriving expect to be treated like Ivy’s customers and patrons. You will be given Guineas to spend on Ivy's celebrated courtesans and scandal sheets to read while her ladies of the night prowl the brothel, stealing jewellery and plying their trade.
Expect a bawdy night of lust, lipstick, libertines and lovers
